Job summary

BMS CAT in Smyrna, GA is seeking an entry-level Restoration Technician to support ongoing remediation work, including smoke, fire and water cleanup on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You will follow safety and quality standards to ensure careful, professional results.

We train the right candidate; no prior experience required. You must be able to lift 50+ lbs, wear PPE, and work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting 50+ lbs, bending, and climbing.
• Comfort with wearing PPE (respirators, Tyvek suits, gloves) and safety-focused.
• Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning, wiping, HEPA vacuuming, and debris removal in remediation zones.
• Assist with setting up containment barriers, negative air machines, HEPA scrubbers, and dehumidifiers.
• Conduct pre-clean and post-clean sanitation per IICRC and company standards.
• Safely handle and dispose of contaminated materials following guidelines.
• Load-in/load-out of equipment, tools, and materials.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, vehicles, and equipment.
• Follow all PPE requirements and safety protocols.
• Document daily work activities with before/after photos and tracking.
• Assist with odor removal, surface decontamination, and antimicrobial application.
• Uphold professionalism when interacting with customers and onsite personnel.

We are looking for individuals to perform smoke, fire, and water restoration cleanup. We will train!

Job Summary

You would play a critical role in supporting day-to-day remediation operations. This position is responsible for performing detailed cleaning, sanitation, and site preparation tasks on residential, commercial, and industrial projects involving mold remediation, water damage restoration, fire/smoke cleanup, and environmental decontamination. You must follow strict safety, compliance, and quality standards to ensure all work is completed efficiently, professionally, and according to company protocols.

Responsible for moving business files and boxes; must be able to carefully and efficiently, wrap files and place item on to pallets for transportation. Provide safe transportation for customer property; Perform inspections and complete walk through to ensure proper inventory control for customer property.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, vehicles, and equipment to ensure a professional and safe environment.
• Follow all PPE requirements, safety protocols, and job-specific instructions provided by supervisors or project managers.
• Document daily work activities, including before/after photos, material usage, and equipment tracking.
• Assist with odor removal, surface decontamination, and antimicrobial application as needed.
• Uphold professionalism when interacting with customers, property owners, and onsite personnel.

• Experience in moving furniture, files, warehouse delivery or large item delivery (preferred)
• Valid Driver's License with good driving record (preferred)
• Forklift experience and certification (preferred)
• Prior cleaning, janitorial, remediation, or construction experience (preferred not required)—we will train the right candidate
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
