Job summary

Himes Holdings Inc is seeking a Restoration Technician to help recover residential and commercial properties damaged by water, wind, hail, storms, fire, and mold. You will perform carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and related tasks on site in Elkhart and Kosciusko counties.

The role requires physical work, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends. Employment offers comprehensive benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Construction or restoration experience preferred.
• Experience with carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, or remodeling.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring installation, trim, and door/window repairs.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
• Complete demolition and reconstruction projects.
• Pack, move, and restore customers' belongings.
• Work closely with supervisors and other trades to complete projects on time.
• Follow OSHA standards and safety procedures; maintain safety first.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and respond after hours.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Restoration Technician to help restore residential and commercial properties damaged by water, wind, hail, storms, fire, and mold. This position requires lifting, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. If you enjoy carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and helping people during difficult times, we'd love to have you on our team.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring installation, trim, and install/repair doors and windows.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
• Complete demolition and reconstruction projects.
• Pack, move, and restore customers' belongings.
• Work closely with supervisors and other skilled trades to complete projects on time.
• Follow OSHA standards and company safety procedures, keeping Safety Frist in all activities.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and respond to service or emergency needs outside of normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor throughout the day.

• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethic.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• 1 st Shift
• 7:00am – 3:30pm
• Overtime may be available based on project needs.
• Opportunities for pay increases based on skills and performance.
• Medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance start at 30 days of employment.
• Year-round employment.

Starting Pay:

$18.00-$24.00/hr., based on skills and experience.
