Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Restoration Technician to join our team. The Restoration Technician is responsible for performing water, fire, and mold mitigation tasks, ensuring that properties are restored to their pre-loss condition. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in restoration, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mitigation and Remediation
    • Perform water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, and fire/smoke damage cleaning in residential and commercial properties.
    • Set up, monitor, and adjust drying and dehumidification equipment, ensuring optimal performance and drying conditions.
    • Conduct controlled demolition, including removal of damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation, as necessary.
    • Clean and sanitize affected areas using specialized cleaning agents and tools.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Accurately document all activities, including moisture readings, equipment usage, and project progress, using company software.
    • Capture before‑and‑after photos of affected areas, ensuring proper documentation for insurance purposes.
    • Report project status and issues to the Crew Supervisor or Project Manager in a timely manner.
  • Customer Service and Support
    • Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, explaining the restoration process and addressing any concerns or questions.
    • Provide updates to clients throughout the project, ensuring they are informed and satisfied with the work being performed.
    • Demonstrate empathy and professionalism when interacting with clients during stressful situations.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Safety Compliance
    • Maintain and clean all equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
    • Follow all safety guidelines and company protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to management immediately.
