Job summary

SERVPRO of Paramus is seeking a Restoration Technician to respond to emergencies and help restore homes and businesses after water or fire damage. You will work with a team to execute restoration tasks and communicate with clients to ensure satisfaction.

You will load vehicles with supplies, operate restoration equipment, and participate in training and uniforms programs. This position offers competitive pay and opportunities for growth within a nationwide franchise network.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience in restoration or construction preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.
• Willingness to work on-call, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations including water and fire damage.
• Perform restoration tasks such as water extraction, drying, and equipment setup.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools and supplies.
• Communicate safety hazards and job site findings to supervisors.
• Maintain open communication with clients and explain restoration process.
• Perform cleanup and site restoration tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.

Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
