Job summary

Role Description

The Restoration Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Winter Garden, FL. This role is responsible for assisting with water damage restoration, fire and smoke cleanup, mold remediation, and other property damage mitigation activities. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and monitoring drying equipment, performing controlled demolition when needed, cleaning and disinfecting affected areas, and documenting work performed with photos and detailed notes. The technician interacts with customers and team members, follows safety and industry standards, and helps maintain tools, vehicles, and job site cleanliness. This role may require working in varied environmental conditions, lifting equipment and materials, and occasional evening or weekend shifts based on emergency service needs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and hands-on skills in Water Damage and Water Damage Restoration.
• Experience with mitigation practices, including property damage Mitigation and related field procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, demonstrating effective Communication with customers, team members, and supervisors.
• Awareness of environmental concerns, including handling Invasive Species and working safely in affected structures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use restoration tools and equipment safely.
• Commitment to safety, adherence to company standards, and attention to detail in documentation.
• Ability to work on-site in physically demanding conditions, including lifting, bending, and extended standing.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to participate in on-call rotation.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related trade is preferred but not required.
• Industry certifications (e.g., IICRC in Water Damage Restoration) are a plus and may be supported by employer training.
