Job summary

Suffolk County Water Authority in New York is seeking a professional to oversee and inspect roadway restorations performed by pavement contractors. You will create contractor instructions, modify drawings, and prepare field sketches for proposed restorations, coordinating with municipal agencies.

The role requires interfacing with contractors outdoors, strong communication, and a valid NY driver’s license. Hours are Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm; annual salary will be commensurate with education

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of working knowledge of construction industry, specifically road construction.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong organizational skills.
• Ability to interface with contractors and work outdoors.
• Candidate must possess a valid NY State driver’s license.

Hours for the position will be Monday to Friday from 7:00 am -3:30 pm. Annual salary will be commensurate with education and experience within a range of $62,000-72,000 per year. Suffolk County residence is highly preferred.
