Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and at least 1 year of experience in cleaning or restoration.
• Certifications in Odor Control and Fire & Smoke Restoration preferred.

Job Overview

SERVPRO of Piscataway is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Restoration Crew Chief. This role involves overseeing and leading restoration technicians by coordinating, monitoring, and performing work activities on projects to successfully fulfill service needs and facilitate a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge of disaster restoration industry (Water, Fire, Mold)
• Report to work on time in a clean, complete uniform
• Coach and train restoration technicians and ensure safety standards are followed during all active jobs
• Ensure appropriate equipment and supplies are loaded on the truck needed for the job
• Perform daily monitoring and required activities on all active jobs for residential and/or commercial customers with a sense of urgency
• Complete sketch and scope sheet for estimates and drying records using mobile software
• Inspect jobs after completion and obtain customer signatures for certification of satisfaction
• Prioritize activities and meet deadlines
• Maintain inventory of supplies

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• At least 1 year of experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction
• Experience with using Xactimate is preferred but not required
• Certifications required:
  • OCT – Odor Control Technician
• Certifications preferred but not required:
  • ASD – Applied Structural Drying Technician
  • FSRT – Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician
  • OCT – Odor Control Technician

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly (occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance), climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and work in tight spaces (i.e., crawl spaces, attics)
