Job summary

Rainbow Restoration of South Central Iowa in Winterset is seeking a Restoration Technician to perform cleanup, contents handling, and restoration work for clients affected by fire, water, or smoke damage. You will follow established procedures, communicate with property owners, maintain inventory, and help return homes to pre-loss condition.

This hands-on role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and safe operation of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow remediation and restoration procedures for cleanup of the client's home and possessions, using the appropriate equipment and PPE.
• Communicate with property owners, showing empathy for their loss.
• Photograph, identify, and inventory customers' contents.
• Wrap, package, and label contents for transport to cleaning facility.
• Unwrap, assess, and clean contents.
• Identify, re-wrap, package, and label cleaned contents.
• Maintain inventory of all processed contents and disposition.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.
• Complete daily log.
• Return cleaned and restored property to customer when building restoration is complete.
• Maintain inventory of related supplies.
