Job summary

Rainbow Restoration in Winterset, IA is seeking a Restoration Technician to help families recover from fire, water, or smoke damage. You’ll follow remediation procedures, use PPE, and document contents with care.

You’ll receive training and certification support, earn $18 per hour with overtime, and PTO after 6 months. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lb are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to wear respiratory equipment and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Follow remediation and restoration procedures for cleanup of the client's home and possessions, using the appropriate equipment and PPE.
• Communicate with property owners, showing empathy for their loss.
• Photograph, identify, and inventory customers' contents.
• Wrap, package, and label contents for transport to cleaning facility.
• Unwrap, assess, and clean contents.
• Identify, re-wrap, package, and label cleaned contents.
• Maintain inventory of all processed contents and disposition.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.
• Complete daily log.
• Return cleaned and restored property to customer when building restoration is complete.
• Maintain inventory of related supplies.

Job Requirements for the Restoration Technician:
