Job summary

Rainbow Restoration in Winterset, IA is seeking a Restoration Technician to perform remediation and restoration for homes and businesses affected by fire, water, or smoke damage. You will follow procedures, use PPE, and document contents with care.

You'll grow with training, certifications, and career opportunities, while helping families recover during challenging times. Valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and onsite work are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must be able to walk/stand for long periods, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
• Must be able to wear respiratory equipment and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Follow remediation and restoration procedures for cleanup of the client's home and possessions, using the appropriate equipment and personal protective equipment.
• Communicate with property owners, showing empathy for their loss.
• Photograph, identify, and inventory customers' contents.
• Wrap, package, and label contents for transport to cleaning facility.
• Unwrap, assess, and clean contents.
• Identify, re-wrap, package, and label cleaned contents.
• Maintain inventory of all processed contents and disposition.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.
• Complete daily log.
• Return cleaned and restored property to customer when building restoration is complete.
• Maintain inventory of related supplies.
