Job summary

Rainbow Restoration in Ridgeland, SC is seeking an Operations Manager to lead our branch operations across the assigned territory. You will oversee water mitigation, mold remediation, fire and contents restoration, estimating, scheduling, and subcontractor management while delivering safe, efficient, and profitable services.

This hands-on leadership role combines daily team direction with field involvement, building scalable processes, driving profitability, and maintaining exceptional customer

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in restoration with mitigation/reconstruction management.
  • Leadership or operations management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of water mitigation, mold remediation, and fire & contents restoration.
  • Xactimate experience required.
  • IICRC certifications (WRT/ASD/AMRT) required; journeyman/master preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean record.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day branch operations including mitigation, remediation, reconstruction, and emergency response.
  • Establish service schedules to meet demand and profitability.
  • Supervise technicians and staff with training and performance management.
  • Perform inspections and manage scope of work on job sites.
  • Execute, review, and audit estimates for profitability and quality.
  • Maintain documentation, insurance approvals, and billing records.
  • Recruit, hire, and develop operational team members.

Position Summary

The Operations Manager oversees all branch operations within the assigned territory while ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, profitably, and above industry standards.

This role is expected to create high levels of customer satisfaction, fulfill company contractual obligations through timely and profitable delivery of services, coordinate schedules and dispatch services, oversee team performance and operational workflows, maintain documentation and billing standards, and help train and develop future leaders within the Rainbow team.

The Operations Manager serves as the operational point person for mitigation, fire & contents, reconstruction coordination, customer communication, estimating, subcontractor management, technician development, and overall branch performance.

This is a leadership role that still requires a hands‑on operational mindset and field involvement when needed.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day branch operations involving water mitigation, mold remediation, fire & contents restoration, reconstruction coordination, and emergency response services
  • Establish and maintain service schedules to ensure all services are delivered efficiently while meeting customer demand and profit margin expectations
  • Supervise technicians, field supervisors, project managers, coordinators, and operational staff including training, coaching, development, and performance management in conjunction with leadership teams
  • Perform inspections and manage scope of work on job sites before, during, and after work is completed
  • Execute timely, accurate, and profitable estimates
  • Write, review, and audit estimates to ensure accuracy, profitability, and operational quality
  • Oversee all job files to ensure proper documentation, insurance approvals, customer authorizations, billing accuracy, and operational notes are maintained
  • Promptly respond to all communications related to customer requests, business demand, escalated situations, and job status updates
  • Ensure all dispatched jobs are responded to in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain and build relationships with subcontractors, vendors, adjusters, property managers, and referral partners
  • Manage subcontractors on reconstruction and restoration projects while monitoring performance, budgets, and completion standards
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and development of operational team members
  • Work alongside leadership to develop operational business plans, growth strategies, department goals, and training initiatives
  • Monitor operational KPIs, profitability, customer satisfaction, workflow efficiency, and branch performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, IICRC standards, company procedures, PPE requirements, and hazardous material handling guidelines
  • Identify operational issues, staffing challenges, safety concerns, and workflow inefficiencies proactively while implementing solutions
  • Maintain accurate operational reports and communicate issues, trends, and updates to leadership teams
  • Assist with emergency response operations and support field teams during high-demand situations when needed
  • Perform mitigation or rebuild duties alongside technicians and operational teams as business demands require
  • Travel throughout assigned territory and support other locations when operationally necessary
  • Perform additional operational and leadership duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills
  • Minimum 3+ years of restoration industry experience including mitigation and/or reconstruction management preferred
  • Previous leadership, branch management, operations management, or project management experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of water mitigation, mold remediation, fire & contents restoration, reconstruction coordination, estimating, and operational workflows
  • Xactimate experience required
  • MICA, Symbility, Alacrity, DASH, and/or Time & Materials experience preferred
  • WRT, ASD, and AMRT certifications required
  • Journeyman or Master IICRC certifications preferred
  • Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to lead teams while maintaining a hands‑on operational mindset
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, schedules, and operational demands simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in both office and field environments
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of spreadsheets, estimating software, business systems, and operational reporting tools
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces such as crawlspaces and attics while wearing PPE when necessary
  • Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get dirty
  • Positive attitude with strong work ethic and leadership mentality
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug test and extensive background screening
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Comfortable standing, walking, climbing, bending, and working at elevated heights or in varying environmental conditions
  • Available for full-time work including overtime, on‑call rotations, and statewide travel as business demands require
