Job summary

Whataburger is hiring a Restaurant Team Leader to deliver the Whataburger experience to Team Members and customers. You will coach during shifts, foster a high performing team, and ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards to drive operational excellence.

The role reports to the Operating Partner and supports Managers across tasks from training to supervision of Team Members. A full-time schedule and potential overtime are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Six months’ experience as a Team Member and attainment of Team Member skills certification.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and inspire Team Members.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with management and co-workers.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Coach during shifts and foster a High Performing Team environment.
• Ensure operating procedures are followed to drive operational excellence.
• Support Operating Partners and Managers in managing the restaurant.
• Train and supervise Team Members and ensure food safety and sanitation standards.
• Travel occasionally and be able to work full-time across shifts.
