This role offers an opportunity to strengthen leadership skills, deepen food and beverage expertise, and play an important role in shaping one of Nemacolin's most unique associate-focused environments.

What You Will Create
  • A welcoming and community-focused dining experience by supporting daily operations, engaging with associates and guests, and helping create an environment where people feel connected and valued
  • Consistent service standards by leading shifts, providing real-time coaching, supporting associates on the floor, and reinforcing Nemacolin hospitality expectations
  • A well-prepared and service-ready operation through effective communication, organization, supply management, and attention to daily operational details
  • Strong team performance by training new associates, supporting onboarding efforts, providing constructive feedback, and helping associates build confidence in their roles
  • Positive guest experiences by responding professionally to questions, concerns, and service opportunities while maintaining a visible presence throughout the operation
  • Effective collaboration between front-of-house and back-of-house teams through communication, teamwork, and support of daily restaurant priorities
  • A safe and compliant dining environment by reinforcing food safety practices, liquor law compliance, sanitation standards, and departmental procedures
  • Meaningful associate engagement by supporting special events, team activities, and initiatives that strengthen the culture and community of The Pub
  • Operational continuity by assisting leadership with inventory management, ordering needs, shift execution, and departmental communication
What You Can Expect
  • A hands-on leadership role supporting a restaurant, bar, event venue, and gathering space designed primarily for Nemacolin associates and their families
  • Responsibility for leading shifts, assisting associates during service, resolving operational challenges, and helping maintain a positive guest experience
  • Daily interaction with associates, guests, Culinary Team members, Wisteria leadership, vendors, and resort partners
  • Opportunities to develop leadership, coaching, food and beverage, and operational management skills while working closely with the restaurant manager
  • A balance of floor leadership, team development, operational support, inventory oversight, and guest engagement
  • A flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
  • Exposure to restaurant leadership responsibilities that can support continued growth within Food & Beverage and hospitality operations at Nemacolin
What You Bring
  • A genuine enthusiasm for hospitality and creating experiences that bring people together
  • A positive leadership presence that encourages teamwork, accountability, and professional growth
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive relationships across front-of-house and back-of-house teams
  • Sound judgment and composure when priorities shift or operational challenges arise
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when balancing guest needs, associate support, and operational expectations
  • A coaching mindset with a willingness to guide, mentor, and support fellow associates
  • Professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential or sensitive information
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a hands-on approach to leadership and service
Qualifications
  • Minimum one to two years of supervisory experience in a food and beverage restaurant or outlet
  • Basic bartending knowledge or experience sufficient to support beverage operations and responsible alcohol service
  • Superior guest service experience required; experience in a Forbes Four-Star or Forbes Five-Star environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality and service standards
  • Current ServSafe Food Safety Manager Certification and RAMP Owner/Manager and Server/Seller Certification, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive front-of-house and back-of-house relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 5 to 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand continuously for extended periods and perform the physical requirements associated with restaurant operations, including bending, kneeling, climbing, and equipment operation
