Job summary

Der Dutchman Restaurant Plain City is seeking a part-time stocker to receive, unload, and organize stock for the dining and retail areas. You will scan, sort, and stock items, ensuring accurate labeling and smooth backroom operations while maintaining clean workspaces.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, a reliable schedule (6:00 AM–1:00 PM, Mon/Wed/Fri), and a friendly team player attitude. On-the-job training and employee discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs+).
• Able to stand for the majority of shift.

Responsibilities

• Receives, unloads, and unpacks cartons, crates, and boxes of bulk or packaged goods.
• Scans, sorts, and organizes incoming and outgoing stock.
• Checks product labels, quantities, and information before moving items to their designated locations.
• Sorts and stocks products on shelves and in the backroom according to established procedures.
• Assists with counting and organizing stock as needed.
• Rotates and organizes products to minimize waste.
• Engages with vendors and delivery drivers professionally.
• Keeps stockroom and work areas clean and hazard-free.
• Follows food-safety, sanitation, and product-handling procedures.
• Performs other stockroom duties as assigned by management.
