Job summary

Shake Shack is seeking a Restaurant Shift Lead in Newport News, VA to manage the flow of service, guide a team of hourly staff, and uphold safety, cleanliness, quality and speed on each shift.

The role may support purchasing, receiving and inventory, and involves participating in interviews and employee relations. Ideal candidates have 1+ year leadership, a Food Safety Certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of restaurant leadership experience supervising a team.
• Food Safety Certification according to local jurisdiction.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of service and direct the work of team members on a shift to ensure the highest levels of safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed.
• Help build and lead high performing team of hourly Team Members.
• May assist with operational support functions (i.e. Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, etc.).

Starting Hourly Rate - $19.00 - $23.00
