Job summary

Potomac Family Dining Group operates Applebee’s restaurants and seeks a shift supervisor to lead a team and oversee guest service. The role emphasizes timeliness, accuracy and brand standards in a fast-paced dining environment.

You will supervise team members, manage opening/closing procedures, and ensure safe, clean operations while delivering pro‑active guest care and consistent service quality. Requires 2 years of supervisory experience and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Reading, writing, math and verbal English skills required.
• ServeSafe Alcohol Certification is a plus.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred in casual dining or bar service.
• Flexibility to work mornings, mid-day, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift and supervise team members to ensure prompt, friendly service.
• Uphold Applebee’s brand standards for timeliness, accuracy and guest service.
• Supervise guest experience, address verbal complaints, and maintain high service quality.
• Assist with inventory, opening/closing procedures, and cash handling.
• Ensure safety and sanitation programs and adherence to policies.
