Job summary

Church's Chicken | Askar Management is seeking a Shift Leader to help create a respectful, positive environment and guide the team in delivering an exceptional guest experience in a clean, safe restaurant.

You will communicate expectations, uphold brand standards, ensure proper staffing and product availability, and drive profitability through cost control and promotions while supporting staff development and training.

Qualifications

• Fluent reading and writing in English.
• 1 year restaurant or retail experience.
• 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
• Food safety training or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate shift expectations and responsibilities to employees.
• Hold team members accountable respectfully and accurately.
• Support the development of team members.
• Maintain a guest-focused culture and brand standards.
• Ensure shifts are staffed and meet guest service goals.
• Manage product availability and preparation as directed.
• Control costs while driving service and sales goals.
• Handle in-restaurant cash procedures according to policy.

Shift Leaders are a critical in creating a respectful and positive environment and to our day to day operations. They are responsible for organizing and managing the team as they prepare for and deliver an exceptional guest experience in a clean and safe restaurant. Shift Leaders must effectively communicate with the management team to ensure our sales, labor, and profitability goals are met.

Responsibilities Include

Team Environment

• Communicate job expectations and shift responsibilities to employees
• Hold team members accountable for performance accurately and respectfully
• Support the development of team members

Operational Excellence

• Create and maintain a guest focused culture
• Ensure Brand standards, recipes, and systems are executed
• Ensure shift is staffed and meets guest service goals
• Ensure shift has adequate product for use and prepared as directed
• Action plans to ensure a safe, secure, and healthy environment
• Action plans to drive system improvements

Profitability

• Control costs while also driving service and sales goals
• Manage in-restaurant cash and banking procedures to standard
• Execute promotions with team training and sampling

Skills / Qualifications:

• Fluent reading and writing in English
• Basic computer skills
• Math and financial management
• 1 year restaurant or retail experience
• 1 year supervisory experience (preferred)
• Food Safety trained (certified preferred)
