SUMMARY OF POSITION
A shift leader supports management in meeting restaurant goals by implementing, managing, and enforcing company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. This role involves hands-on leadership to deliver:

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports directly to the General Manager or Manager on duty.
Internal contacts include all levels of store personnel and home office departments.
External contacts include guests and distributors.
POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
Ensure all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner, following all procedures and health regulations.
Perform or assist all functions for all positions as required.
Set up each shift for success through planning, inspection, and anticipation of challenges. Communicate expectations, assign work stations, and motivate the team.
Lead the shift by maintaining standards, keeping the team positive, organized, and focused, especially during busy times. Address food or service issues promptly.
Review shift results, ensure readiness for the next guest and shift, and communicate with management about performance, guest concerns, or maintenance issues.
