Summary of Position: A shift leader is empowered to support management in meeting restaurant goals through the implementation, management, and enforcement of company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. It involves taking a hands-on leadership role in the restaurant to deliver the following to our Guests and Employees every shift:
Reporting Relationships: Reports directly to the General Manager or Manager on duty. Internal contacts include all levels of store personnel and home office departments. External contacts include guests and distributors.
Position Activities and Tasks: Ensures all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner, according to all established procedures, standards, and health regulations. Must be able to perform or assist in all restaurant functions when needed. Responsible for shift readiness through planning, inspection, and anticipating challenges. Effectively communicate expectations, assign work, and motivate the team. Lead the shift by maintaining standards, managing challenges, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Follow up on shift results, communicate with management about performance, guest concerns, and operational issues.
