Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores is seeking a Restaurant Shift Leader to help run our fast-paced kitchen and dining area. You will lead staff, ensure quality service, and execute strategies to boost sales and customer satisfaction.

You will maintain food safety standards, manage orders, inventory, scheduling, and reporting, while coaching teammates to deliver friendly, efficient service in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Willing to work various shifts.
• Basic computer skills with MS Office.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean kitchen and follow food safety procedures.
• Drive sales through ordering, stocking, inventory, and prep.
• Assist GM with task execution, safety practices, scheduling, and reporting.
• Coach and develop staff in preparing and packaging orders to meet service standards.
• Oversee dining room cleanliness and food prep areas; ensure equipment maintenance.

Restaurant Shift Leaders play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our restaurant. You will assist in leading staff to provide exceptional customer service, managing processes, and executing strategies to enhance sales and customer satisfaction. Job Functions:

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained kitchen, along with adherence to proper food safety procedures
• Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and food preparation
• Assist the General Manager of the facility with proper task execution and completion, follow effective safety practices, schedule and cash integrity, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
• Work alongside team members to coach and develop in preparing and packaging customer orders in a timely manner and to maximize customer service expectations
• Oversee the cleanliness of the dining room and food preparation areas,
• Ensure all restaurant equipment is property maintained

Skills and Demands:

• Ability to work various shifts
• Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer satisfaction focus
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
• Frequent lifting/moving of items over 50 pounds or more
