LAGO, the creation and vision of Fabio Viviani, in Lake Zurich, IL, is seeking a Keyholder to lead floor operations during shifts. This hands-on role requires independence, leadership, and a focus on guest experience.

You'll open/close the restaurant, support the team, manage service flow, and uphold procedures. Training will cover procedures, duties, and expectations for leading the floor, with evenings, weekends, and holidays possible.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience required; prior lead, keyholder, shift lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Dependable, responsible, and comfortable entrusted with restaurant keys and opening/closing responsibilities.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of on-shift operations.
• Strong guest service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to participate in training to develop leadership and operational skills.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a keyholder and independently open and/or close the restaurant as assigned.
• Take ownership of floor operations during shifts and ensure smooth service.
• Provide day-to-day direction to team members during the shift.
• Coordinate front-of-house activities and maintain organized flow of service.
• Maintain a welcoming guest experience and assist with seating and guest needs.
• Monitor dining room cleanliness, organization, and readiness.
• Assist with running food, clearing and resetting tables, and guest support.
• Handle guest questions or concerns and escalate when appropriate.
• Assist with POS transactions, cash handling, and end-of-shift tasks.
• Complete opening and closing checklists and secure the restaurant at closing.
