Wendy’s in Illinois is seeking a Shift Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations during your shift, lead a front-line team, ensure fast, friendly service, and uphold Wendy’s quality standards.

You’ll mentor staff, manage cash handling and scheduling, monitor food safety and cleanliness, and drive guest satisfaction while supporting the Restaurant Manager to achieve business goals. This is a hands-on leadership role with strong communication expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service, preferably with supervisory roles.
• Proven leadership and ability to coach a team.
• Strong customer service mindset and conflict resolution.
• Excellent communication with staff and guests.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and quick decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Supervision: supervise shift, coach staff, ensure policy adherence, delegate tasks.
• Customer Service: maintain high service standards, resolve guest issues promptly, model friendly service.
• Operational Efficiency: manage daily operations, inventory, food quality, cleanliness.
• Financial & Cash Handling: ensure accurate cash handling and POS operations, monitor labor costs.
• Staffing & Scheduling: manage breaks and shifts, cover gaps as needed, ensure adequate staffing.
• Food Safety & Sanitation: uphold health and safety regulations, maintain cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Problem-Solving & Decision Making: quick, effective decisions during operational challenges.
• Communication & Reporting: liaise with management, report issues, provide feedback on performance and improvements.
