Position Overview

The Waterfront Pool at Horseshoe Bay Resort offers stunning lake views and full food and beverage service. As a Pool and Lakeside Server, you will provide exceptional service by taking guest orders, ensuring top-quality food service, and maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction.

General Duties

• Communicate effectively with guests daily, providing excellent hospitality.
• Participate in pre-shift meetings with staff and management.
• Follow labor schedules and work assignments.
• Properly set tables and stations; follow setup checklists; take guest orders.
• Serve food and beverages promptly.
• Complete daily shift operation reports.
• Communicate special guest requests to the kitchen.
• Prepare tables and menus before each meal period.
• Assist with bussing tables.
• Understand and execute BEO forms.
• Have thorough knowledge of food, wine, and cocktail menus.
• Maintain a positive attitude and warm hospitality image.

Employment Standards

• Must be 18+ to serve alcohol.
• Previous serving experience, preferably in a resort setting, is valued.
• TABC and ServSafe certification preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills required.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Ability to read, speak, write English fluently.
• Impeccable appearance standards.
• Maintain proper uniform, including slip-resistant, enclosed-toe footwear.

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Properly handle and store food and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, environmentally responsible workspace.
• Work well with team members and foster a team environment.
