Job summary

The Galt House Hotel is hiring full-time Restaurant Servers for Swizzle Restaurant. The Server will enhance guest experiences by answering questions, upselling items, taking orders, and delivering meals.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, maintaining table settings, ensuring timely service, and coordinating with the kitchen to ensure guest satisfaction. Strong wine knowledge and professional appearance are required.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.

• Clean, professional appearance and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide attentive service to ensure a memorable dining experience.
• Take and relay accurate orders; upsell menu items when appropriate.
• Ensure table is clean and properly set; monitor guests and beverages throughout the meal.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and assist with guest questions as needed.
• Close out tables and assist with any guest requests or special needs.

Job description

The legendary Galt House Hotel is currently hiring full time Restaurant Servers for it's upscale, Swizzle Restaurant.

The primary role of the Server is ensure the guest has a memorable experience by providing excellent customer service, answer questions regarding menu items, upselling menu items, taking food and drink orders and delivering food to the table.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the table is clean and set with clean utensils in the proper configuration.
• Greeting the guests at their table in a timely fashion.
• Ensuring the guests have drinks and time to decide on their order.
• Taking the orders accurately and conveying it to the kitchen.
• Monitoring their tables and ensuring their guests always have drinks and are generally satisfied.
• Getting food from the kitchen when it's prepared and getting it to the guests.
• Ensuring all meals are satisfactory to the guests.
• Returning to clear the table when guests are done eating, and asking if there is anything else that can be provided.

Qualifications

• High school education or Equivalent.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
• Basic math skills
• Strong knowledge of the various types of wine.
• Self-motivated and customer service oriented.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Clean and professional appearance.
• Adept in following food safety practices.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to work on your feet for at least 8 hours at a time and lift at least 60 lbs.
• Team oriented.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays- especially Saturdays.
