Job summary

Eataly in King of Prussia, PA is hiring a Server to coordinate the service station and ensure a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. You will greet guests, present menus, and relay orders to the kitchen using a POS system.

You will also assist with wine service, station setup, and cash handling at counter-service venues. Flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.

• Knowledge of the sequence of service and dining room procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and presents them with the menu.
• Informs guests of specials, menu changes, answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies.
• Receives food and beverage orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system.
• Communicates with the hosts, table support team, kitchen staff and bartenders to coordinate stations.
• Presents, opens and pours wine and beer when serving guests.
• Assists table support team with stocking work stations, removing and resetting used dishes/silverware.
• Assists with cash register at counter-service restaurants.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Job Description

A Server coordinates the entire service station and communicates with front of the house and back of the house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. Reports to the Restaurant Manager.

• Greets guests and presents them with the menu
• Informs guests of specials, menu changes, answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies
• Receives food and beverage orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system
• Communicates with the hosts, table support team, kitchen staff and bartenders to coordinate stations

• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Hourly Rate: $15.00 Plus Tips

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Knowledge of the sequence of service and dining room procedures

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
