Job summary

Huddle House is seeking a friendly Restaurant Server to deliver first-class customer service and food service in a fast-paced dining room. You will accurately receive orders, convey them to the kitchen, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining cleanliness of your serving area.

The role emphasizes great guest engagement, upselling daily features, and adherence to safety and cash-handling procedures. Training, benefits, and flexible scheduling accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all restaurant staff.
• Some previous restaurant experience preferred.
• “Can do” attitude and willingness to be at your during your shift.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time in a clean, complete, proper uniform with a positive attitude ready to work.
• Greet all customers with a smile and a verbal greeting.
• Review menu with customers, suggestively sell products, take orders at the table.
• Submit tickets to cook’s station and deliver food promptly when ready.
• Handle money, ring up tickets, and make proper change.
• Ensure all tickets are accounted for and closed before shift end.
• Stock and prepare the unit for the next shift.
• Keep the store clean; bussing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, bathrooms.
• Report safety concerns to the manager immediately.
• Know the menu and daily features to upsell items.
• Follow steps of service to maximize shift sales.
• Practice safety food handling and cash security rules.
• Perform prep and cleaning duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Control waste and portion sizes to manage food cost.
