Luther Manor in Wisconsin is seeking a Part-Time Restaurant Server (20 hours per week) to serve meals to residents according to dietary restrictions and to maintain clean and sanitary dining areas.

Hours are 3:30pm-7:30pm with weekend and holiday availability. The role includes setting tables, assisting residents with food choices, helping in the kitchen when needed, stocking items, and ensuring overall dining room sanitation and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Able to communicate about dietary restrictions.
• Able to push/pull heavy carts and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Works well with co-workers and follows directions.

Responsibilities

• Sets tables with dishware, silverware, condiments, and beverages.
• Serves meals to residents according to dietary restrictions.
• Clears tables and maintains dining room cleanliness.
• Assists residents in obtaining desired food items.
• Helps cooks when needed.
• Stocks and refills dining items and supplies.
• Maintains kitchen and equipment sanitation; reports repairs.
• Loads and washes dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Unloads and stores clean dishes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Hours:

3:30pm-7:30pm

Must be available weekends and holidays

Essential Job Functions:

• Sets tables as needed including dishware, silverware, condiments, and beverages
• Serves meals to residents according to dietary restriction
• Clears tables of used items and maintains an overall cleanliness in dining room
• Assists residents in obtaining any alternative food items they may need or desire
• Helps cook when needed
• Stocks and refills items and supplies on a routine basis according to resident needs
• Responsible for the overall cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen and equipment, and observe and report need to repair equipment
• Loads and washes dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
• Unloads and stores clean dishes
• Other duties as assigned

• At least 16 years of age
• Able to communicate, understand and differentiate dietary restrictions
• Transports trays and heavy carts (push or pull forces up to 44 lbs) throughout the dining rooms
• Requires frequent bending, stopping, lifting, and or moving objects up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to pass routine or periodic drug testing
• Actively participates in or initiates problem solving in job-related issues. Works positively with co-workers, sharing job responsibilities when assignments are completed and in times of shortage and special projects
