Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them at tables per seating chart.
• Present waters and menus soon after guests arrive.
• Take food and drink orders and suggest options if asked.
• Relay orders to kitchen and bar; deliver to tables.
• Check guest satisfaction and address issues as needed.
• Clear plates, offer dessert or check when tables are cleared.
• Process payments and assist teammates as needed.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness and organize cutlery/wine glasses when sections are not full.
• Perform duties in a prompt, friendly, and organized manner.

The ideal candidate has:

Strong customer service skills and soft-skills

Strong memorization tactics, both for the menu and for guests’ orders

Deep knowledge about the restaurant’s food and wine menu, including the ingredients, what pairs well together

The ability to make recommendations based on a guest's palate and preferences

Multitasking and anticipating guest’s needs

Communicating with staff

Knowing and adhering to food safety standards

Preparing and corking wine bottles for service

Knowledge of the Steps of Service for fine dining establishments

Job duties and responsibilities:

Greeting guests and seating them at clean tables as per our seating chart

Bringing waters and menus to your tables shortly after arrival

Taking food and drink orders, and making suggestions if requested

Communicating food and drink orders to the kitchen and bar

Bringing drinks and food to your tables

Checking in on your guests to confirm that they’re happy with their orders and dealing with any issues as needed

Collecting plates when your guests are finished eating

Offering dessert and/or the check once your tables are cleared

Collecting payment from guests

Helping your team members out as needed by seating other servers’ tables and running their food if your section is not full

Cleaning and organizing the restaurant as needed by rolling cutlery and polishing wine glasses if your section is not full

Conducting all responsibilities in a prompt, friendly, and organized manner

Requirements and Qualifications:

Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
