Job Overview

As a Server at The Golf Club at Newcastle, you will serve guests in a friendly, sincere manner, ensuring they have an outstanding experience each time. Your responsibilities include taking orders, delivering food and beverages, monitoring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and professional appearance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Take food and beverage orders from guests and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
2. Greet guests within 15 feet with a sincere welcome and assist them as needed; thank guests at the end of their visit and invite them to return.
3. Execute server sequence proficiently.
4. Deliver food and beverages promptly from kitchen and bar to guests.
5. Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required.
6. Monitor and observe guests' dining experiences, respond promptly and courteously to requests, and ensure guest satisfaction.
7. Prepare the final bill.
8. Maintain effective communication with guests and team members.
9. Maintain a clean and orderly appearance, dressed in uniform at each shift.
10. Maintain knowledge of hours of operation, wine, menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
11. Assist in maintaining cleanliness by picking up trash and eliminating clutter.
12. Upsell by informing guests of specials and personal recommendations.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

1. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
2. Adaptable, flexible, and empathetic.
3. Customer-oriented and responsive.
4. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with continuous improvement.
5. Possess a Food Handler's Card.
6. Possess a Class 12 MAST Card.
7. Must be 21 years or older.

Work Environment

The work environment involves physical activities such as lifting 50 pounds occasionally, standing for extended periods, and working weekends and holidays as needed. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for individuals with disabilities.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay: $16.66/hour, plus tips and overtime eligibility.
