Job Summary

The Restaurant Server oversees the day-to-day operation of first-class customer service and food service in the restaurant. The incumbent is responsible for properly receiving food orders, conveying them to the kitchen staff, and ensuring prompt food delivery to customers. Maintaining cleanliness of the assigned serving section and providing excellent customer service at all times are essential. The server will also be a strong teammate to our franchise partner.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time, dressed in a clean and complete proper uniform.
• Greet all customers with a smile and a verbal greeting: “Good Morning” or “Welcome to Huddle House.”
• Review the menu with customers when needed, suggestively sell products, and take orders from each customer at the table.
• Use proper, approved abbreviations and submit tickets to the kitchen station.
• Deliver food in a timely manner when it is ready.
• Handle money from customers, account for all tickets and credit card receipts, and ensure all tickets are rung up and closed before the shift ends.
• Complete the position checklist, stock, and prepare the unit for the next shift.
• Perform all prepping and cleaning duties as assigned, including bussing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning bathrooms and walls.
• Report concerns immediately to the manager, especially safety issues and customer complaints.
• Know the menu, daily features, juices, add-ons, and desserts to suggestively sell products.
• Follow the Huddle House steps of service with each guest to maximize shift sales.
