Job Summary

The Restaurant Server oversees the day-to-day operation of first-class customer service and food service in the restaurant. Responsibilities include properly receiving food orders, conveying them to the kitchen staff, delivering food promptly, and maintaining cleanliness of the assigned serving section. The server is expected to provide excellent customer service at all times and to be a strong team player supporting our franchise partner.

Responsibilities
  1. Report to work on time, dressed in a clean and complete proper uniform.
  2. Greet all customers with a smile and a verbal greeting such as “Good Morning” or “Welcome to Huddle House.”
  3. Review the menu with customers as needed, suggestively sell products, and take orders at the table.
  4. Use proper, approved abbreviations and submit tickets to the kitchen station.
  5. Deliver food in a timely manner once ready.
  6. Handle customer payments, ensure all tickets and credit card receipts are accounted for, and verify that all transactions are closed before shift end.
  7. Complete the position checklist, stock, and prepare the unit for the next shift.
  8. Perform all prep and cleaning duties as assigned, including bussing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning bathrooms and walls.
  9. Report safety concerns and customer service issues to the manager immediately.
  10. Know the menu, daily features, juices, add-ons, and desserts to suggestively sell.
  11. Follow the Huddle House steps of service to maximize shift sales.
Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective communication with all restaurant staff.
  • Previous restaurant experience preferred.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work during scheduled shifts.
