Job Summary

The Restaurant Server oversees the day-to-day operation of first-class customer service and food service in the restaurant. Responsibilities include receiving food orders, conveying them to the kitchen staff, delivering food promptly, and maintaining cleanliness in the assigned section. The server must provide excellent customer service and be a strong team player.

Responsibilities
  1. Report to work on time, dressed in a clean, complete proper uniform.
  2. Greet customers with a smile and a verbal greeting: “Good Morning” or “Welcome to Huddle House.”
  3. Review the menu with customers, suggestively sell products, and take orders at the table.
  4. Use proper abbreviations and submit tickets to the kitchen.
  5. Deliver food promptly when ready.
  6. Handle customer payments, reconcile tickets and credit card receipts, and ensure all tickets are closed before shift end.
  7. Complete the position checklist, stock, and prepare the unit for the next shift.
  8. Perform prepping and cleaning duties, including bussing tables, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms and walls.
  9. Report concerns to the manager immediately, especially safety issues and customer complaints.
  10. Know the menu, daily features, juices, add-ons, and desserts to suggestively sell products.
  11. Follow the Huddle House steps of service to maximize sales with each guest.
Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective communication with restaurant staff.
  • Previous restaurant experience preferred.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work during scheduled shifts.
