The Post Oak in Houston is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented server to deliver exceptional hospitality in a high-volume upscale setting. You will welcome guests, explain menu items, and coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely service.

You should have 1-2 years of experience in fine dining, a passion for guest service, and the flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate to management as needed.
• Collaborate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Comply with federal and state laws including FLSA tip regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and welcome them in a friendly manner
• Take drink orders and follow policy regarding service of alcohol
• Know the menu and be able to explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to guests
• Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure all orders are prepared and delivered on time and together
• Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and good presentation, and timed so the entire table is served within a reasonable time frame
• Check on guests during their meals to ensure satisfaction and address requests/concerns
• Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and bring issues to management
• Collaborate with fellow servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
• Responsibilities include complying with all federal and state laws, including the FLSA tip regulations regarding tip reporting, sharing, and minimum wage requirements
