Job Description

1. Reports to work well-groomed, in a clean and proper uniform, and practices good personal hygiene at all times.
2. Greets guests courteously when seated at their station.
3. Take verbal drink and meal orders according to guest preferences.
4. Serve high-quality food, ensuring all orders are complete, prepared as ordered, portioned correctly, and attractive in appearance.
5. Maintain cleanliness of stations and pantry.
6. Perform side work during shift downtime, such as rolling silverware, restocking, cleaning work stations, and bussing tables.
7. Execute the service cycle and team responsibilities consistently.
8. Maintain sufficient menu knowledge to suggest and upsell to guests.
9. Handle guest checks and operate POS equipment per company policies.
10. Anticipate and correct system or service issues to maximize guest satisfaction.
11. Ensure 100% guest satisfaction on every visit.
12. Communicate with managers and coworkers regarding product/service issues, safety concerns, and equipment problems.
13. Keep management informed of problems and propose solutions.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

1. Continuous standing and walking.
2. Clear communication with guests.
3. Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold.
4. Reaching heights of approximately 6 feet and depths of 2.5-3 feet.
5. Flexibility and mobility in the workspace.
6. Ability to fit through openings 30 inches wide.
7. Work irregular hours under pressure during busy times.
8. Bending, reaching, walking.
9. Eye/hand coordination.
10. Lift and carry trays or buss tubs up to 20 pounds for distances up to 30 feet.

Supervision and Skills

1. Receives direction and training from the Associate Manager.
2. Basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service can be taught in-house.
3. Handyman knowledge and skills are a plus.
