The Aspenwood Company in Denton is seeking servers who are enthusiastic, friendly, and dedicated to exceeding residents' expectations in our dining room and during events. Join our vibrant Village on the Park community to deliver compassionate service to seniors and their guests, ensuring every dining experience is warm and memorable.

You will maintain dining areas, take orders, coordinate with kitchen staff, and support safe, courteous service during weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Accredited food handler certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the dining room is spotless and beautifully set for meals and events.
• Greet residents and guests with a smile and seat them comfortably.
• Take food orders, relay to kitchen, and deliver meals promptly.
• Ensure order accuracy, check food quality and presentation.
• Respond promptly to resident and guest requests to ensure a top-notch dining experience.
• Pour and refresh drinks in a timely manner.
• Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with setting tables, clearing dishes, restocking supplies.
• Maintain safety by ensuring walkers are moved and returned after meals.
• Explain menu options to residents and guests.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and hygiene.
• Attend required in-service trainings.

Schedule

Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the dining room is spotless and beautifully set for all meals and events.
• Greet all residents and guests with a smile, ensuring everyone has a comfortable place to sit.
• Take food orders, present them to kitchen staff, and deliver meals promptly and efficiently.
• Guarantee the accuracy of orders and check food quality and presentation.
• Respond swiftly to resident and guest requests, ensuring their dining experience is top-notch.
• Ensure drinks are poured and refilled in a timely manner.
• Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards meticulously.
• Assist with setting tables, removing dirty dishes, disposing of waste, and restocking inventory.
• Remove all walkers from the dining room to ensure safety and return them immediately after meals.
• Make each resident and guest feel special, showing genuine pleasure in serving them.
• Understand the menu fully and be able to explain the selections to residents and guests.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Attend all required in-service training sessions.
• Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.
• Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
• Take on additional responsibilities with enthusiasm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must obtain an accredited food handler certification within 60 days, as per State guidelines.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to one year of related experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service attitude and ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks.
