Job Description

1. Reports to work well-groomed, in a clean and proper uniform, and practices good personal hygiene at all times.
2. Greets guests courteously when seated at their station.
3. Takes verbal drink and meal orders according to guest preferences.
4. Serves high-quality food, checks all orders for completeness, correct preparation, portioning, and attractive presentation.
5. Maintains cleanliness of stations and pantry.
6. Performs side work during shift downtime, such as rolling silverware, restocking, cleaning, and bussing tables.
7. Executes the service cycle and team responsibilities at all times.
8. Maintains sufficient knowledge of the menu to suggest and sell items effectively.
9. Handles guest checks and operates POS equipment per company policies.
10. Anticipates and corrects system or service issues to maximize guest satisfaction.
11. Ensures 100% guest satisfaction on every visit.
12. Communicates with management and coworkers regarding product/service issues, safety, and equipment concerns.
13. Informs managers of problems and proposes solutions.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

1. Continuous standing and walking.
2. Ability to communicate clearly with guests.
3. Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold.
4. Reaching heights of approximately 6 feet and depths of 2.5–3 feet.
5. High mobility and flexibility in workspace.
6. Ability to fit through openings 30” wide.
7. Work irregular hours under pressure during busy times.
8. Bending, reaching, walking.
9. Eye/hand coordination.
10. Lift and carry trays or tubs up to 20 pounds for distances up to 30 feet.

Supervision and Skills

1. Receives guidance from the Associate Manager on procedures and tasks.
2. Basic sanitation, safety, and customer service skills can be taught in-house.
3. Handyman skills are a plus.
