Job summary

The Global Ambassador Hotel is seeking a restaurant porter to support both back and front of house during service in a dynamic, hospitality-focused setting in Phoenix, AZ. The role requires a positive, self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and the stamina to maintain performance throughout shifts.

Responsibilities include polishing ware, stocking stations, and coordinating with management to ensure inventory accuracy while contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Polish silverware, glassware, and chinaware to ensure presentation standards
• Stock server-stations with glassware and silverware and replace as needed
• Maintain clean chinaware on the expo line and assist with stock in dish areas
• Remove dirty linen and retrieve clean linen during service
• Communicate with management about shortages of glassware, plateware, and flatware
• Access stewarding storeroom to maintain pars on plateware, glassware, and flatware

The restaurant porter is an important position that supports both the back and front of house before, throughout, and after service. This position requires someone who is positive, self-motivated, and a good communicator. Also, stamina, efficiency, and a good work ethic will be important for the position.

What You’ll Do

• Properly polishing silverware, glassware, and chinaware.
• Removing and replacing glass racks in the dish area.
• Help stock server-stations with glassware and silverware.
• Help stock chinaware on the expo line.
• Remove dirty linen bag throughout service and retrieve clean linen for server and support staff.
• Communication with management about glassware, plateware, and silverware shortages
• Access stewarding storeroom to maintain pars on plateware, glassware, and flatware
