Sora Resource Group is seeking an Assistant General Manager to work closely with the GM and drive daily restaurant operations in Freehold, NJ. The role emphasizes leadership beyond closing shifts, with responsibility for service standards, guest satisfaction, and team development.

Ideal candidates bring AGM or restaurant management experience, strong hospitality instincts, and a track record of coaching staff, managing scheduling, and maintaining inventory and systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in AGM, Restaurant Manager, or strong Service Manager roles.
• Experience in polished full-service or high-volume dining.
• Seafood or raw bar experience is a plus.
• Strong food, wine, spirits, and cocktail knowledge.
• Strong service and hospitality instincts.
• Excellent floor management skills.
• Ability to lead pre-shifts, coach employees, and maintain service standards.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Experience with scheduling, labor management, inventory, and restaurant systems.
• Ability to handle guest issues professionally and confidently.
• High attention to cleanliness, organization, presentation, and detail.
• Ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining a positive culture.
• Desire and ability to develop into a future General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Support the GM with daily restaurant operations.
• Independently run shifts and manage the restaurant.
• Coach and develop employees.
• Maintain service and hospitality standards.
• Assist with scheduling and labor management.
• Manage opening and closing procedures.
• Monitor restaurant cleanliness, organization, and readiness; handle guest concerns and recovery.
• Assist with training and onboarding.
• Help maintain inventory and operational controls.
• Communicate issues and opportunities to the GM.
• Take ownership of problems and follow them through to resolution.
