Job summary

Taco Bell in Houston is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in profitable operations, cost control, customer service, and team development. You’ll help build sales, maximize profits, and maintain restaurant appearance and safety standards.

Key duties include front-counter service, staff coaching, cash handling, hiring support, and coordinating operations with the General Manager. This role reports to the Restaurant General Manager and requires open availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• A minimum of 1-year supervisory experience.
• Understanding of P & L statements.
• Basic math and accounting skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of order processing systems and basic computer skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be Serve Safe certified.
• Requires open availability.

Responsibilities

• Front counter work to ensure quality service and coaching of employees.
• Assist in maintaining an acceptable level of sales and utilize local store marketing.
• Manage restaurant cash control and perform daily bank deposits.
• Ensure accidents and incidents are reported, maintain safety, and uphold Health Department ratings.
• Assist in hiring and development of team members; document disciplinary actions.
• Perform management and administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Restaurant General Manager.
• Conduct frequent travel paths to ensure operational ingredients are in place and working.
• Utilize preventive maintenance systems to ensure building/equipment are in good repair.
• Attend meetings scheduled by the Restaurant General Manager or Area Coach.
