Job summary

Common Bond Cafe is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, lead Shift Leaders and hourly staff, and ensure outstanding guest service. This role reports to the General Manager and drives adherence to policies, procedures and financial goals.

You will recruit and train staff, review performance, handle scheduling, and maintain accurate records while delivering a positive, professional guest experience in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Conversational Spanish is required.
• Strong reading, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient math and comfort with numbers.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with professional demeanor.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure quality, service and sanitation.
• Manage daily activities of Shift Leaders and hourly staff.
• Foster guest service and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Recruit, train and evaluate staff; conduct performance reviews.
• Reconcile cash at opening and closing shifts and maintain records.
• Lead staff meetings and delegate tasks to meet objectives.
