Job description

Your Role at Raising Cane’s:

The Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Leader in daily restaurant operations, upholding Raising Cane’s standards and culture in shift management responsibilities.

The physical work environment involves working in a fast-paced kitchen, interacting with customers, and includes extended periods of walking, standing, lifting, and working outdoors and indoors in varied temperatures. It also involves handling food, allergens, industrial equipment, cleaning products, and using personal protective equipment.

Your Impact and Responsibilities:

Purpose of the position:

  • Ensure operations meet Raising Cane’s standards across all restaurant zones during a shift
  • Act as manager on duty, including opening and closing the restaurant
  • Manage cash handling with accountability

General to the role:

  • Enforce Raising Cane’s policies and standards
  • Conduct shift management in line with operations and safety standards
  • Use tools, forms, and logs to support shift execution, document results, and take corrective actions
  • Direct crewmembers during a shift
  • Provide exemplary customer service
  • Utilize reward and recognition programs for crewmembers
  • Authorize employee functions requiring manager approval (e.g., discounts, promotions, timeclock overrides)
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness and facility condition
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Classification: Non-Exempt

Requirements for Success:

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-driven, flexible, and energetic with strong communication skills
  • Effective independently and collaboratively
  • Problem recognition, goal setting, planning, and execution skills
  • Knowledge in staffing, scheduling, people, and cost management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new systems
  • Availability for various shifts, including weekends and travel for training
  • 1+ years management experience in restaurant or retail
  • Must be 18 or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
