Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Restaurant Manager | Resort Outlet Restaurants for Barton Creek Resort & Spa. If you love hospitality, creating memorable customer experiences, and enjoy the benefits of working with a hotel company, you'll find this role rewarding.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, cleanliness, and guest well-being.
  • Maintain full familiarity with menus and beverage offerings.
  • Ensure staff complete side work checklists.
  • Assist in overall management of the outlet.
  • Check liquor pars and order supplies daily.
  • Hold pre-shift meetings and follow up on training steps.
  • Handle guest comments and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Communicate with guests and gather feedback.
  • Stay on the floor during peak hours to oversee service.
  • Observe, teach, and correct staff service professionally.
  • Examine food preparation and beverage presentation.
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, and forecasting.
  • Participate in recruiting and interviewing new employees.
  • Prepare maintenance requests and follow-up.
  • Monitor food and liquor requisitions and waste.
  • Check bar controls and bottle usage daily.
  • Approve paid time off requests.
  • Manage staff performance, attendance, reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain professional communication and knowledge of resort events.
  • Conduct regular department and OST meetings.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Participate in required training and promote the Omni/Power of One culture.

Qualifications

  • Current Texas Food Handlers and TABC certifications.
  • At least 2 years experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Manager, preferably in a high-volume, 4-star hotel or restaurant.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Prior serving and cash handling experience preferred.
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience with food presentation, menu design, and food and beverage cost controls.
