Job summary

Culinaire, a division of Compass Group USA, seeks a Restaurant Manager for Marisol at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. The role oversees day-to-day food service operations, drives excellence in guest service, and supports leadership with financial responsibilities in a dynamic, art-filled setting.

Adjacent to James Beard Award–winning concepts, this position emphasizes team leadership, cost control, and collaboration with culinary/marketing teams to roll out new programs.

Qualifications

• 2 years of food service management experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, or health care.
• Experience managing cost controls is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• ServSafe Certification is preferred.
• Associate’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages all functional areas of the restaurant.
• Trains, manages, and develops hourly associates.
• Assisting in the interviewing and hiring of frontline staff.
• Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with the company culinary and marketing team.
• Oversees ordering, inventory and cost controls.
• Assists with catering and special events.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
