Job summary

Lettuce Entertain You is hiring a Restaurant Manager for the Pizzeria Portofino on the Chicago riverfront. You will oversee daily operations in a high-volume, full-service setting with a focus on leading service alongside our front of house teams.

Responsibilities include running shifts, opening/closing, guiding hourly and management staff, managing costs, and driving guest satisfaction. We offer a competitive salary, quarterly bonus, PTO, 401(k) and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume, full-service environment.
• Ability to lead service alongside front of house teams.
• Strong guest relations and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Run shifts and direct daily restaurant operations.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and oversee opening/closing duties and nightly numbers.
• Organize smooth daily opening and closing shifts for exceptional guest and employee experience.
• Provide guidance and leadership to hourly and management teams, fostering our Culture of Caring.
• Respond promptly to guest and employee needs and feedback.
• Assist GM in managing costs, driving sales and business growth toward financial goals.
• Interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise and develop BOH staff as needed.
• Perform inventories and inspect deliveries; manage stock and supplies.
• Model teamwork across all teams and uphold professional standards.
• Handle challenges with tact and good judgment regarding guests, vendors, and staff.
• Work varied shifts including mornings, nights, weekends across multiple sites as needed.
• Lift up to 10 lbs regularly, up to 25 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs occasionally.
