Job summary

Whataburger is hiring an Restaurant Manager to lead a high-volume location and oversee a team of over fifty Family Members. You will drive guest experiences, operational excellence, and financial performance while preparing for future leadership opportunities.

You will rotate through Customer, Quality, and People AORs, building well-rounded leadership skills and delivering Whataburger standards across safety, service, and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED (strongly preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays, and variable hours.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 55 lbs.
• 1–3 years of leadership experience.
• ServSafe Food Manager Certification (or ability to obtain during training).
• Possess a valid driver's license and auto liability coverage in your state.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations to meet quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Champion hospitality and guest service standards by creating friendly, fast experiences.
• Coach, develop, and support team members to their full potential.
• Achieve restaurant goals across sales, labor, food cost, and profitability.
• Ensure food safety, workplace safety, and brand standards.
• Model Whataburger values and foster an inclusive work environment.
• Lead shift transitions and ensure smooth operations across all day parts.
• Support talent development, hiring, and retention with restaurant leadership.
• Support business planning, performance reviews, and continuous improvement.
