Job Summary:
The Church's Restaurant General Manager is passionate about providing our guests a high-quality, value-oriented dining experience with friendly, quick, accurate service in a clean and safe environment. The RGM is responsible for all business activities at one restaurant location, specifically to:
- Provide a superior and memorable experience for all guests.
- Achieve sales goals.
- Control expenses to budget or better.
- Create an environment where team members are engaged, encouraged to grow, and deliver exceptional service.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
- Exceed guest expectations with friendly, quick, and accurate service, and build team understanding of service standards.
- Gather feedback from guests to improve service and food quality.
- Handle guest complaints promptly using the listen, apologize, satisfy, and thank model.
- Ensure all calls are handled courteously and professionally.
- Conduct regular training and provide feedback to team members.
- Cross-train team members and develop new skills.
- Create a positive, rewarding, and fun work environment.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Manage budgets and perform routine maintenance.
- Analyze operational reports and perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of supervisory experience in the restaurant industry.
- Complete all required training and pass relevant tests.
Position Qualifications/Skills:
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Availability to work 50-55 hours weekly, including weekends.
- Knowledge of restaurant policies, labor cost reporting, and business metrics.
- Excellent interpersonal, computer, and supervisory skills.
- Ability to manage conflict, develop employees, and foster a positive environment.
