Job summary

Westwood Country Club in Vienna, VA is seeking a Restaurant Manager who will lead the main level full-service dining rooms and work closely with the AGM and Senior F&B Manager to ensure a premier dining experience for members and guests.

This hands-on leader must communicate exceptionally, engage with members, mentor the service team, and partner with the Food & Beverage group to maintain seamless operation across all dining areas of the club.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in hospitality, restaurant, or customer service.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Excellent hospitality and member service mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Private club or upscale hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day FOH food and beverage outlets on the upper club level to include 3 dining rooms.
• Build on and develop a training program to build service levels.
• Assist in developing the food and beverage department's yearly budget with the AGM, routinely review financial reports, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Responsible for POS updates and menu programming.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings with staff.
• Conduct inventories of beverages, supplies, dinnerware, and glassware as needed.
• Ensure that all food and beverage staff are presentable, well-groomed, and always in established uniforms.
• Enforce all club rules and regulations.
• Engage with and mentor team members to improve member service and experience.
• Assists with hiring, training, and scheduling FOH food and beverage staff.

Westwood Country Club is a private member-owned Club just west of Tysons Corner, Virginia, in the beautiful town of Vienna. The Club offers a variety of full-service dining rooms including 6 distinct dining areas & 2 banquet spaces. The Club also has an 18-hole championship golf course, fitness center, indoor and outdoor racquets facility, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and throughout our expansive clubhouse. Westwood recently completed over 26-million-dollars in renovations and is on a substantial waitlist for members to join.

Brief Job Description

The Restaurant Manager will focus on the main level full-service dining rooms and will work closely with the AGM and Senior F&B Manager to ensure a quality dining experience for members and guests. The Restaurant Manager is a highly visible, “hands‑on” manager who is expected to consistently engage with members and guests and lead/support the service team. This individual must be an exceptional communicator and have excellent personal interactive skills and maturity to instinctively know how to make members and guests feel welcome and comfortable. This individual will work closely with our Food & Beverage team including the Senior F&B Manager, Beverage Manager, and Food & Beverage Manager (lower level), to ensure seamless operation throughout all dining areas of the club.
