Job summary

Mighty Fine Burgers, Fries & Shakes, an Austin-based restaurant group, is hiring an Restaurant Assistant Manager. You will oversee FOH and BOH operations to ensure guest service and food quality standards while working within opening hours, including weekends and holidays.

The role requires 2+ years in a similar leadership position, familiarity with Aloha/Toast, and strong math, reporting, and team-management abilities. Competitive salary starts at $55k–$65k per year plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in restaurant leadership or as an assistant manager.
• Familiarity with restaurant management software (Aloha/Toast).
• Strong math, reporting and cost-control skills.
• Customer service mindset and ability to lead a team.

• Restaurant Assistant Manager

As one of our restaurant leaders, you will oversee FOH & BOH operations to ensure guest service & food quality standards are upheld at all times.

To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with restaurant operations and have a good understanding of what makes a great customer service. You should also be available to work within opening hours, including weekends and holidays. Ultimately, you will help minimize operating costs, boost our employee retention and deliver a positive dining experience for our guests.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager or similar experience in the hospitality industry preferred
• Familiarity with restaurant management software, like Aloha/Toast
• Good math and reporting skills
• Customer service attitude
• Communication and team management abilities
• Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends)
• High school diploma; additional certification in hospitality is a plus
