Job summary

Próximo Fort Wayne in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Restaurant Manager to oversee every aspect of daily operations, ensure excellent guest service, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and product quality.

You will lead staffing, scheduling, interviewing, hiring, training, and budgeting, manage P&L, and drive sales through effective promotion and cost control; a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3+ years as a salaried manager are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as salaried manager in full service, Fine or Casual dining.
  • Experience with full service alcohol serving facility desirable.
  • Record of maintaining high standards in restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, and guest satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, directing, and motivating a team.
  • Some exposure to P&L and sales building highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee every aspect restaurant operations.
  • Ensure excellent guest service that meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Ensure restaurant is adequately staffed to meet guest needs.
  • Control day-to-day operations - profit & loss, cash control/security procedures, and review financial reports.
  • Develop the restaurant's annual operating budget and control all P&L centers (food, beverage, utility, labor).
  • Operate the business in line with company policies and laws.
  • Impact interviewing, hiring, and training; plan, assign, direct, and evaluate staff.
  • Handle financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll tasks per policies.
  • Manage all shifts, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards and cleanliness.
  • Maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour.
  • Enforce safe work behaviors for guests and crew.
  • Monitor daily activities to ensure quality food and cleanliness standards.
  • Meet the restaurant’s P&L and expense goals.
  • Promote suggestive selling techniques.
  • Maintain professional, warm, hospitable atmosphere.
  • Prepare quarterly sales and projections for supervisor approval.
