JOB PURPOSE:
The General Manager of KFC Polly’s will lead their team by demonstrating accountability and ownership in the operation of a single store. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of store operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house, as well as P&L, marketing, and sales analysis. The GM is the face of KFC Polly’s in the community and drives the store to deliver exceptional service and value to guests daily.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Execute workforce planning: recruitment, onboarding, training, and coaching to maintain standards.
- Manage store operations by applying policies, service standards, and continuous improvements.
- Lead and manage team scheduling, communication, and policy enforcement.
- Build and develop the team through support, coaching, and delegation.
- Support management staff development and accountability.
- Foster guest relationships and monitor service quality, initiating improvements as needed.
- Ensure cash handling policies are followed and financial transactions are accurate.
- Drive store performance to meet targets through operational tools and strategies.
- Align store operations with strategic and financial goals, monitor variances, and enforce controls.
- Implement local marketing initiatives to attract and retain customers.
- Develop strategies to increase sales and control costs, including food, beverage, and labor.
- Manage P&L, including sales forecasting, profit control, and business adjustments.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and waste reduction.
- Ensure timely completion of financial and personnel reports in compliance with standards.
- Maintain compliance with all regulations, standards, and safety procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and address issues promptly to ensure store standards and safety.
- Promote a safe environment and respond to injuries or safety concerns.
- Maintain communication with the Area Director, reporting issues and successes.
- Provide coaching and manage HR issues, including attendance, conflict resolution, and discipline.
- Work required shifts, including dinner rush, weekends, and holidays as needed.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 1-5 years supervisory experience in a related field.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
- Strong knowledge of store operations, management, and inventory control.
- Basic computer skills (POS, MS Office).
- Food preparation skills relevant to restaurant operations.
- Up-to-date on food safety and health regulations.
- Customer-focused with the ability to work independently and in teams.
- Extensive customer relations experience.
- Completion of company’s management training program (MIT).
